ABOUT

The Brendan Whelan Foundation was officially launched by Joseph Whelan on the 19th of Janaury 2006 in loving memory of Brendan (Messer) Whelan, who tragically lost his life to suicide in 2005.

The Brendan Whelan Foundation is a not-for-profit company that promotes positive mental health and wellbeing, markets and manages the Soldier product and merchandising brand, and produces fundraisers and events with the aim of raising funds to support the awareness and prevention of suicide and self harm and to fight depression in the Republic of Ireland. 

LEADERSHIP OF THE GROUP MANAGEMENT TEAM AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Brendan Whelan Foundation was co-founded by Whelan Family members, Angela Whelan, Anthony Whelan and Jospeh Whelan. 

JOSEPH WHELAN is the Chief Executive Officer of the Group Management Team for The Brendan Whelan Foundation and Soldier. Joseph is also Executive Chairperson and Chief Strategy Officer for the Not for Profit Board of Trustees and presides over the implimenting of finanacial and stratepic planning, and in managing the communcations, finance, fundraising, services and community management for both The Brendan Whelan Foundation and Soldier.
